To avoid the depressing experience with such handsets, Google has now released the Android Go platform at the on-going Google I/O 2017 Developer Conference.
Google has announced the Android Go platform crafted specifically for low-cost Android smartphones having 1 GB RAM or lesser. The platform promises smooth and efficient software experience. Further, it has better data management, offers better saving. Additionally, users can top up directly from the data settings once data is over.
The Android Go platform, which is said to be highly inspired from the YouTube Go app, aims at a better user experience by highlighting apps that are specifically designed for these devices. The apps would be specifically tuned to use less memory, storage space, and mobile data.
Commenting about the Android Go platform, Google said, “Android Go is designed with features relevant for people who have limited data connectivity and speak multiple languages, and comes to life through three key areas: The Android OS, Google apps, and the Google Play Store.”
