Reliance Jio plans announced back in March are soon about to reach the end of their validity and there is no word on whether or not we will see new offers anytime soon. In the interim, Reliance has announced new discounts and offers for Reliance JioFi users. The new offers give 4G data at nominal prices starting as low as Rs 149. The new packs will take on Airtel, Vodafone and other 4G providers in the market.

However, the new Reliance Jio packs are valid only for new JioFi buyers. In order to avail the offer, users can either buy the JioFi device online or from the Reliance Digital and Digital Xpress Mini stores. The device is priced at Rs 1,999. Along with the device, the users also need to purchase a new Reliance Jio SIM card (for free). After activation, users need to sign up for the Jio Prime membership, which is priced at Rs 99 annually. The total expense comes to Rs 2,098. Once the new device is activated, the user can then pick from multiple offers for the recharge.
The base pack starts at Rs 149. The pack offers the user unlimited calling (through the Reliance Jio Voice Calling app). The user can also avail 300 SMS per day. The pack offers the user a total of 2GB 4G data and comes with a validity of 28 days. Once the user has recharged for the first month with Rs 149, the rest of the 11 months are free – giving the user a total of 22GB free 4G data for Rs 149. The offer comes without any FUP.
The second pack is priced at Rs 309. Reliance Jio is offering users free unlimited voice calling plus 100 free SMS daily. The pack offers the user 1GB free 4G data daily post the first recharge of Rs 309, with a validity of six recharges. The validity of each recharge is for 28 days and post the first recharge of Rs 309, users can avail 1GB data free per day for the next five cycles. The total amount of free data a user can avail under the pack is 140GB (in addition to the 28GB data for the first recharge cycle). ALSO READ: Reliance Jio’s 4G VoLTE feature phone to be announced this month, to be priced at Rs 500: Report
The next pack is for Rs 509 and comes with benefits similar to the Rs 309 pack, but the amount of free 4G data is increased to 2GB per day. All other terms and conditions stay the same. However, the validity of the pack is lesser at just four months or four 28 day recharge cycles. The plan offers the user a total of 168GB data free (plus the 56GB data for the first recharge, making the total data 224GB for Rs 509).
The last offer is priced at Rs 999 and offers a total of 60GB data 4G data for a period of four recharge cycles or approximately four months. There is no cap on the data usage per day under the Rs 999 offer. The offers are already listed on the Jio website. The user can choose any one from the four plans offered during the recharge. It is unclear if the user can choose the second plan or upgrade to another plan.
