NEW DELHI: If you are planning on buying a new affordable smartphone, this just might be the right time to do so. Amazon India is offering Huawei's Honor 6X at a discounted price.

Launched in January this year, the Honor 6X comes in two variants - 3GB RAM/32GB internal storage (Rs 12,999) and 4GB RAM/64GB internal storage (Rs 15,999). While the former is available at a discount of Rs 2,000, the latter is being offered at a discount of Rs 3,000.

​ HTC U Ultra (Rs 7,000)
HTC lunched its flagship smartphone U Ultra in India in February this year at Rs 59,990. The smartphone recently got a price cut of Rs 7,000 and is now available at Rs 52,990. HTC U Ultra has a 5.7-inch QHD LCD display and there is also a 2-inch screen on top.

It is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor clubbed with 4GB RAM. It offers 64GB internal storage which can be further expanded by using a mciroSD card. It comes with a 12-UltraPixel 2 rear autofocus camera with LED flash and a 16-MP front-facing shooter. Running Android 7.0 Nougat operating system the device is backed by a 3,000 mAh battery.

Sony Xperia XZ (Rs 10,000)

Sony slashed the prices of its last year's flagship device Xperia XZ recently. The smartphone which launched at Rs 51,990 in October last year is now available at Rs 41,000, post a price cut of Rs 10,000. The Xperia XZ has a 5.2-inch FHD display and is powered by the 2.15GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor clubbed with 3GB RAM. With IP rating 65/68, the smartphone is water-resistant as well.

The dual-SIM smartphone packs 64GB internal storage, expandable up to 256GB with microSD support. However, globally Xperia XZ comes in two variants based on internal storage -- 32GB with single-SIM support and 64GB with dual-SIM support.

Samsung A9 Pro (Rs 2,590)

Samsung A9 Pro launched in September last year at a price tag of Rs 32,490. The company recently announced a price on the same, and it is now available at Rs 29,900. The smartphone comes with a 5,000 mAh battery with fast-charging support and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor. Running Android 6.0 Marshmallow it has a 16MP primary and 8MP secondary camera.

Moto G4 Plus (16GB- Rs 2000)

The bigger-screen variant of Moto G4 Plus also received a price cut for both the storage variants. The 16GB variant which was launched at Rs 13,999 is now available at Rs 11,999. Whereas, the 32GB version can be purchased at Rs 13,999 which is Rs 1,000 less as compared to the launch price. It runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system and comes with a 5.5-inch FHD display. It packs a 16MP rear and 5MP front cameras and is powered by 1.5GH Octa Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor.

​ Lenovo Z2 Plus (Rs 3,000)

Launched in September 2016, Lenovo Z2 Plus's both the variants have witnessed a price cut. The 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage variant got a price cut of Rs 3,000 and is now priced at Rs 14,999.

The 4GB RAM version received Rs 2,500 price cut and is now available at Rs 17,499. The smartphone sports a 5-inch FHD display and runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow. It is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor clocked at 2.15GHz and comes with a 3,000 mAh battery, 13MP rear and 8MP front camera.

Moto G4 (Rs 2,000)

Lenovo-owned Motorola's Moto G4 smartphone too recieved a price cut recently. The Moto G4's 16GB version, which was launched at 12,499, is now available at 10,499.

On the other hand, the 32Gb variant which was launched at 13,999 is now available at 11,999. The smartphone has a 5.5-inch full-HD display and is powered by a 1.5GH Octa Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor. It packs a 3000mAh battery, 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front-facing camera.

​ HTC 10 (Rs 10,000)

HTC 10 is another smartphone from the Taiwanese company to have received a price cut. The company's 2016 flagship got a price of Rs 10,000 and is now available at Rs 42,990.

The device sports a 5.2-inch QHD super-LCD touchscreen and runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow-based Sense UI. It comes with a 12MP UltraPixel f/1.8 camera at the back and a 5MP A/F selfie shooter. It is powered by HTC BoomSound Hi-Fi Edition with Dolby Audio along with a 3,000 mAh battery. The smartphone includes a USB Type-C port and a fingerprint scanner at the bottom.

Vivo Y51L 4G (Rs 2,990)

Vivo has slashed the price of its recently-launched smartphone Y51L 4G. Launched at Rs 11,980, the handset is now available at a price tag of Rs 8,990.

Y51L has a 5-inch IPS screen and runs on Android Lollipop. It is powered by the 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 410 processor, 2GB RAM and 16GB ROM. It has an 8MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front snapper.

This means that the 3GB RAM/32GB storage version of the Honor 6X is available at Rs 10,999, and the 4GB RAM/64GB storage variant can be purchased for Rs 12,999.

For those unaware, Huawei Honor 6X was originally launched in China last year. It was also showcased earlier this year at CES.

In terms of specifications, the Honor 6X has a 5.5-inch Full-HD display of 1080x1920 pixel resolution. It's powered by Huawei's own octa-core Kirin 655 SoC, paired with a Mali T830-MP2 GPU.

Like the earlier-launched Honor 8, the Honor 6X has a dual-camera setup at the back. It's comprised of a 12MP module and a 2MP module. There's also an 8MP selfie-shooter included in the mix.Honor 8 Lite with Android 7.0 Nougat launched at Rs 17,999

The Honor 6X comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. The 4G VoLTE-capable smartphone is backed by a 3,340mAh battery.


Recently, Honor launched its mid-range smartphone Honor 8 Lite in India at Rs 17,999. Running Android 7.0 Nougat based EMUI 5.0 out of the box, the Honor 8 Lite brings new features such as an app drawer and twin app support - with the latter allowing users to login with two accounts in apps like Facebook and WhatsApp.


The handset sports a 5.2-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) resolution with 2.5D curved glass coating. The smartphone is powered by the company's own Kirin 655 octa-core CPU along with 4GB RAM. The handset comes with 64GB inbuilt storage, which can be expanded using the microSD card (up to 128GB)
